LERMA, Mexico — Chauvet, a leading global supplier of entertainment lighting and trussing, celebrated the official launch of its wholly owned Mexico subsidiary with two days of festivities and product demos, in the company of business partners and customers who traveled to Lerma for the occasion. “Mexico has always had a special place in my heart, and we are honored to be here and to serve you,” said CEO Albert Chauvet who flew in from the company’s USA headquarters.
About 100 guests had the opportunity to tour the Chauvet Mexico facility and to meet the Chauvet Mexico staff of 12 headed by General Manager Abraham Levit. In addition, Chauvet Mexico hosted a night at a Hookah Santa Fe lounge complete with a DJ, live band, belly dancers and dinner in the venue lit by CHAUVET DJ Intimidator Spot LED 450, SlimPAR Tri 7 IRC, COLORband Pix lights, and CHAUVET Professional Legend 230SR Beam, Nexus 4×4, and Q-Wash 560Z-LED fixtures. “This event gave us the opportunity to meet and express our gratitude to our customers in Mexico who have been supporting Chauvet,” International Sales Director Stéphane Gressier said.

MIAMI, Fla. – Chauvet puts the shining members of the Community Habilitation Center (CHC) in the spotlight by providing more than 80 products to light the organization’s fashion show held at the Miami Airport Convention Center.

Twenty-two CHAUVET Professional WELL Quad-M wireless wash lights lined the perimeter of the room and added bright columns of saturated color. “The WELL Quad-M provided us the flexibility to add light where we needed it because of their compact size and wireless capabilities,” Airriess said. “They worked flawlessly and added a level of elegance to the event.

Abraham Levit, who owned Novelties and spearheaded Chauvet’s massive presence in Mexico for two decades, has been named general manager of Chauvet Mexico. Levit oversees a team of 12 and reports directly to International Sales Director Stéphane Gressier. “Abraham Levit and his entire team at Novelties built an impressive distribution operation for Chauvet. Joining forces with them will allow us to up the game by increasing performance and stock availability, in addition to offering superior customer service to our local clients who will benefit from a trained and dedicated team.”
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – On September 2, 2013, the non-profit organization S.H.E.A.R., Inc., Sharing Hope Empowerment and Reaction, will host the 10th Annual Friends and Family Day – Beach, Bash and Baptism to benefit the homeless men, women and children of the Miami Rescue Mission. This year, Chauvet, Henderson Financial Group and JM Family teamed together to sponsor the event where families can gather together for a day filled with food, fun and fellowship.
To create a prominent focal point on stage, a TRUSST-built cross illuminated with four SlimPAR Quad 6 IRC wash lights and crafted from one 2.5-meter and three 1-meter sticks of truss, one 6-way corner block and one 30-inch base plate will serve as the backdrop. To add dimension, six Intimidator Spot LED 350 moving heads mounted atop two 1-meter, two 1.5-meter and two 2-meter sticks of TRUSST warmed with six SlimPAR Quad 6 IRC wash lights are incorporated into the design. Two 4BAR Tri wash lights add front lighting to performers, while two Geyser RGB fixtures, two Impulse 648 strobe lights and a Nimbus dry-ice machine create impressive, eye-catching effects. Two Hurricane Haze 2D haze machines placed in the rear of the stage enhance beams and tie the light show together.
S.H.E.A.R., Inc., founded in 2001, is comprised of 10 volunteers who provide community services, experiences and fellowship opportunities while giving hope to people through empowerment, education and mentoring. Volunteers visit nursing homes, children’s hospitals and jails throughout South Florida to bring hope to members of the community and sending donations to Haiti and Nairobi, Kenya. Anthony Durden, a member of the CHAUVET team for seven years, serves as president of S.H.E.A.R., Inc. MIAMI, Fla. — As gold sponsor, CHAUVET lit the annual fund-raiser organized by Community Habilitation Center, a facility that supports and serves 150 adults with developmental disabilities from Miami-Dade County. Ranging in ages from 21 to 71, CHC members participated in a fashion show, while guests bid in silent and live auctions, raising funds for the center.
CHAUVET and ILUMINARC International Sales Director Stéphane Gressier and CHAUVET DJ Product Specialist Nick Airriess volunteered to install the fixtures and light the event.
Twenty-four CHAUVET Professional WELL wireless wash lights added to the elegant feel of the event, six coloring the white background of the stage and the rest placed against the walls throughout the room. “The WELL fixtures simply brought the room to life,” Airriess said. “They worked great and brought more glamour to the show.” Connected via a WDMX transmitter, the fixtures made the room transformation a snap, Airriess added.
