Chauvet Weathers Hurricane Irma

SUNRISE, FL – Chauvet reopened its Florida facility on Tuesday September 12, resuming operations in its warehouse as well as its support, sales, service and product development departments following Hurricane Irma. “Fortunately, our associates are all safe and our building made it through the storm with no damage,” said Albert Chauvet, CEO of Chauvet. “We worked together and moved quickly to put everything in place to service our customers.”

Although warehouse operations have resumed at Chauvet, shipping is still contingent on Florida’s roads being cleared. However, Chauvet expressed confidence in the state’s ability to restore normal transportation channels. “This state is resilient and experienced at dealing with the aftermath of storms,” he said. “We’ve been impressed by how quickly things were cleaned up this week. There should be no significant impact on shipping.”

The rollout of the widely anticipated Maverick MK2 Profile and Maverick MK Pyxis was also not affected by Hurricane Irma. Both fixtures will debut at the upcoming PLASA show in the United Kingdom.

“Our hearts go out to all the people who felt the brunt of the hurricane, but fortunately it had only a minimal impact on our business,” said Chauvet. “We are extremely grateful to all of our customers who expressed their concern and support during this storm.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

“We’re very excited to have someone of Carlos’ caliber and experience join our team,” said Albert Chauvet, CEO of Chauvet. “Although we have been selling products in Mexico for 25 years, our business in the country increased dramatically when we opened Chauvet Mexico in 2013 and began distributing directly. Chauvet Opens New Larger Showroom In Mexico

  • News

Mexico logo-FINAL Mexico City – Responding to the rapidly increasing demand for its lighting and trussing products in Mexico, Chauvet has opened a new office, warehouse, service center and showroom in Lerma, just west of the nation’s capital. Located close to major highway and rail transit channels, the spacious new facility will house an extensive inventory of CHAUVET Professional, ILUMINARC and CHAUVET DJ lighting fixtures, as well truss from the company’s TRUSST division.

“The new facility in Lerma represents an important step in our global expansion plans,” said Albert Chauvet, CEO of Chauvet. “Working closely with our network of dealers and distributors, Chauvet has been fortunate to build up a very loyal following among Mexican customers for our professional, architectural and DJ products. By expanding our capabilities to sell and service our wide range of products, the new facility will allow us to grow even further and take our Mexican business to the next level.”

Among the many enhanced features that distinguish Chauvet’s new Mexican home office from the old facility that it replaced is a greatly expanded showroom. Far larger than its predecessor, the new showroom will afford more and better opportunities to demo the company’s lighting fixtures and LED video panels.

“The new showroom should be a great sales and educational tool for our team as well as for our distributors and dealers,” said Stéphane Gressier, International Sales Director of Chauvet. “In lighting there is no substitute for actually seeing in person how a fixture performs, so we will be encouraging our customers to bring their customers to our expanded showroom.”

For Jaime Friedstadt, Chauvet’s Director of Business Development Hispanic Markets, the home office relocation reflects the company’s commitment to serving the Mexican market. “Chauvet has established deep roots in Mexico, and this office shows that we intend to make them even deeper,” he said. “We are in Mexico for the long run.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Belgium-office-1 Sunrise, Fla., USA — Chauvet, a leading supplier of entertainment lighting headquartered in the USA, has opened a full-service subsidiary in Ghent, Belgium. The facility, which follows in the steps of a Chauvet branch in the United Kingdom, acts as the Chauvet distributor in the Benelux area, serving dealers of CHAUVET Professional and CHAUVET DJ brands in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, while supporting Chauvet distributors and strategic partners elsewhere in Europe.

“Given the success of our operations in the UK, it made sense to expand to an inland facility so we can better serve customers not only in the Benelux area but also throughout the continent,” said Chauvet President Albert Chauvet. “With high profile products like our CHAUVET Professional Nexus and EPIX being seen worldwide, and the widespread following of CHAUVET DJ in multiple countries, we’ve established globally recognized brands. This facility will help bring these brands to more markets, even more rapidly.”

In addition to serving as a sales, service and distribution center, the Belgium facility houses a showroom for conducting product demos and training. The new subsidiary is Chauvet’s fifth office globally, joining two facilities in the United States and one in Mexico as well as its United Kingdom operation. “We are eager to see our new Belgium subsidiary build on the success that we have enjoyed elsewhere,” said Michael Brooksbank, General Manager of Chauvet Europe. “Having been involved with the Chauvet UK operation since its inception in 2010, it’s been very gratifying to see how the European market has responded so positively to our formula of offering quality-driven value products and supporting them with a passion for service.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

World Autism Awareness Day

SUNRISE, FL– Chauvet is going blue to help fight a disorder that affects 1 in 68 babies born in the US every year, and the company, along with PLSN editor and noted LD Nook Schoenfeld, is hoping that other lighting industry members join in this effort. On March 30, the company lighted its headquarters in Florida, as well as its facilities in the United Kingdom and Belgium, a bright royal blue to kick off the week leading up to World Autism Awareness Day on April 2.

A longtime advocate of autism research and care, Schoenfeld was influential in getting the upper floors of the Empire State Building illuminated blue a few years ago as part of the “Light It Up Blue” campaign to draw attention to the disorder on Autism Awareness Day. “The organization Autisms Speaks came up with the idea of lighting landmark buildings blue on Autism Awareness Day to raise awareness of the disorder,” he said. “I’ve been a big supporter throughout.”

On a personal level, Schoenfeld has persuaded touring artists from Kid Rock to John Legend to turn their stages blue to raise autism awareness. This year, the LD/editor decided to bring the effort closer to home and involve the lighting industry directly.

“It seemed very natural to me,” he said. “As an industry we’re all about lighting, and this event is built on lighting. So I figured why doesn’t our industry light itself to raise autism awareness? I brought this up to some friends at Chauvet and they were all over the idea. Our hope now is that we can inspire the rest of the industry to join us in lighting their buildings for Autism Awareness Day on Thursday April 2.”

The Chauvet building is being illuminated in blue and displaying the Autism Awareness logo in gobo form, using gobos provided by Rosco Laboratories. “When we learned about this from Nook, we knew instantly that we wanted to participate,” said Berenice Chauvet, vice president of Chauvet. “Every year more families are affected by autism; so we did not want to sit idly by.”

To Chauvet’s point, the prevalence of autism among children in the United States has increased by almost 120 percent since 2000, according to the latest figures from the Center for Disease Control. This makes autism the fastest-growing developmental disability in the country.

“We’re hoping that by raising awareness, we can help raise funds for research and care so that one day autism will disappear,” said Chauvet. “Our hope is that many other companies in the industry join us in lighting their facilities blue this year. It would be nice for all of us to know that the lighting industry played a part in achieving this victory. So we hope everyone Lights It Up Blue on Thursday.”

World Autism Awareness Day and “Light It Up Blue” are sponsored by Autism Speaks. For more information visit www.autismspeaks.org[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Kids In Holiday Toy Giveaway

Christmas-Giveaway-PR-Image-LARGE SUNRISE, Fla. – Chauvet employees, don’t only know how to bring popular lighting products to market, they’re also very good at working together to brighten the holidays for children in their community. The Chauvet team pooled their talents, time and resources together to distribute over 400 toys to kids in the Christmas in the Village Toy Giveaway, which was held December 21st in West Park, Florida.

Receiving brightly wrapped holiday presents was only part of the fun for the kids from 60 families who attended the festive event. The Chauvet team also entertained guests at the holiday gathering with live DJ performances, games and a very popular “bounce house.”

Chauvet employees voted in early December to make the Christmas in the Village Toy Giveaway their adopted charity for the holidays. The event is sponsored by S.H.E.A.R. (Sharing Hope, Empowerment and Reaction), a Miami Gardens based faith-based community outreach organization founded in 2001.

“This was a grassroots charitable activity that came from the heart,” said S.H.E.A.R. president Anthony Durden, who is also a Chauvet employee. “I’m not surprised by the generosity of the Chauvet team members. I have the privilege of working with them every day; so I know that they’re very caring people. Sometimes the holidays can be tough for children whose families are in difficult circumstances, but the Chauvet team stepped up to make this event a great success and give some very deserving kids a Christmas experience they’ll always remember.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
