Chauvet Lights Wornall Street Bridge 1/25/2008Kansas City, MO- Renowned for their yearly holiday lighting display, Country Club Plaza recently shed some light on the Wornall Street Bridge with the help of Kansas City Power and Light and Animated Lighting, a market leader in providing hardware and software for synchronizing and controlling lights, music, and special effects. For over 75 years, the Plaza has been displaying over 80 miles of holiday lights throughout Kansas City’s premier entertainment district. This year 4 CHAUVET COLORado 3 units and 8-COLORado 1 units were installed at the Wornall Bridge, incorporating it into the display. The bridge can be fully powered by less than 15 amps of current draw though over 6,000 channels of DMX are being utilized for control. It will remain lit throughout the year with varying color schemes. “The CHAUVET COLORado units were chosen for their outstanding performance and IP65 rating,” said Animated Lighting owner Paul Smith. The lights so far have survived two months of cold Mid-western winter maintenance free, he said. Illuminating the bridge with less electricity than most people use to light a single room in their home has generated great interest.
