Product Marketing Manager
The Product Marketing manager acts a liaison between technical planning, management, and marketing to identify, communicate and maximize market opportunities and applications for CHAUVET products. This role requires close interaction with the Product, Marketing and Sales teams. The Product Marketing manager also gathers, analyzes and disseminates feedback from market research to offer compelling solutions and market strategies to our Product team and OEM partners. The Product Marketing manager must be a strong team player and a collaborative leader with both business and technical savvy, demonstrate creativity, analytical and technical skills and possess a strong aesthetic sense. The Product Marketing manager reports to the CEO and Vice President of Marketing.
Responsibilities
Work with the product development and marketing teams to define product strategies and develop product roadmaps.
Collect and disseminate customer feedback and incorporate findings in product planning. Establish relationships with key customers.
Be an expert with respect to the competition. Identify, communicate and exploit competitive advantages. Identify, communicate and offer compelling solutions to remove barriers to market entry.
Estimate demand for products, identify and articulate new market opportunities and applications. Identify and articulate technical trends driving markets and the competition
Oversee efforts to inform and train the sales force to get feedback from customers on CHAUVET, as well as, competitors.
Develop in depth market positioning, competitive analysis and selling propositions.
Develop pricing strategy and packaging strategies to meet revenue, positioning, market share, and profitability goals
Work closely with product development to verify new product fit with the company’s value proposition, market penetration goals, branding strategies and vision.
Gather, organize and analyze market research, sales staff feedback and customer feedback to deliver product and marketing strategies to guide product planning, product development, product launches and marketing initiatives.
Work closely with marketing to ensure the alignment of marketing communications and trade shows presentations with the company’s overall vision and specific product launch objectives.
Requirements:
MBA or equivalent business experience. BS or BA in marketing, business, architectural engineering preferred.
Technical background in the lighting, engineering or electrical industry or strong track record in technical product marketing management
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to produce product proposal drafts, business or product launch plans, and sales forecasts
Strong track record in technical product marketing management
5-7 years of management experience, with demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills
Ability to influence cross-functional teams with or without formal authority
Demonstrated ability to research and quantitatively describe and analyze a market
Proficiency in use of major PC applications including Microsoft office
Ability to work in a fast moving, high-pressure environment
Ability to travel
